They only add songs for "GOLD" members now. Free, or "BLUE" members are not given access to new songs.

I feel more guilt on Bix...it seems like especially since it is a contest site that if you don't go out and comment on people's entries, they won't reciprocate, thus you won't get votes, thus you lose the contest.

This is a definite positive. Big name sponsors such as Capitol Records add huge credibility.

Its a better default layout, but you can't customize it other than a few color changes.

The pace at which they add songs is staggering. For a few months there it was 25 a day it seems. I have placed requests for songs and they have been added within a week or two at the latest.

This is a postive for casual singers not wanting to compete, however Bix is a contest site whose main purpose is competition, so in effect you are being rated, just not with 5 stars. Singsnap also allows you to turn off the ratings for any entry you post.

This is a postive for Bix. Currently Singsnap offers no search for members, at least that I have seen. To find a particular person you have to pretty much know their username and navigate to it.

Bix has this locked. I love the one-to-one reply to individual feedback ability. Singsnap doesn't really offer a reply option, its more of a glorified comment that falls in line with all the other comments under the entry.

I'm still not sure which is better, the push method of Bix where you post a bulletin, or the pull method where you get notified of one of your favorites new entries.

Bix's beta recorder doesn't work in Firefox...yet. :(

Ever notice how hideous some folks look (like me, for instance) on the video recordings on Bix? It always seems to snap the photo when our mouths are gaping wide open, or it looks like we're trying to take a dump, or trying to eat the mic! lol! Not very flattering to have those entries with those lovely pictures at the top of our pages!
